Christmas aftermath and a New Year

What day is it? Jason has been off since the 19th, so we are lost in the aimlessness of a long (and much-needed) vacation. I’m pretty sure it’s Saturday, but I can’t be certain, seeing as every day for the last two weeks has felt like a Saturday.

Being at home all this time has been nice, though.

I finished these quilts for my nieces’ American girl dolls:

Caleb celebrated his first Christmas:

At one point over the last few weeks our kitchen looked like this:

Now it looks like this:

And we’ve slept in until at least 8:30 every day. It has been wonderful.

Today is the last day of our holiday vacation. Tomorrow is back to church and back to real life. Last night, when Jason and I went to bed, we prayed together for God to anoint this new year. We have no idea what it has in store for us, but we are confidently following him into it.

Happy New Year!

  1. It was a great Christmas together, wasn't it? Caleb is just about the sweetest little guy I've ever laid eyes on. And those quilts you made for the girls were SO awesome, I know they loved them. Way to go, Aunt Amy!! =)
