I don’t know what the weather is like where you live, but for the first time pretty much all year, it’s hot and dry (well, at least not raining; 80% humidity is not exactly dry) and it finally feels like summertime.
Our tomato plants, which suffered during the cool, rainy July and August, are going crazy, and we are soaking up the last of summer sun with the same fervor.
I’m looking forward to the fall, my favorite season, and I’ve got some great things to share with you here as we head into the cooler months, but technically, summer doesn’t end until September 20, and I’m going to hang onto it until then.
So for now, we are still jumping in the pool and making wet footprints on the concrete. We’re riding bikes and sitting in the sand and letting berry juice drip down our chins.
What about you? How are you spending these last days of summer?
